Updating the AccelePort Xp Firmware in Linux

AccelePort Xp Firmware Upgrade Instructions for Linux


1. The latest firmware image can be downloaded here.

2. Make a back-up copy of the existing firmware image at this path:
# cp /usr/lib/dg/dgdm/tiggerf.bin old.tiggerf

3. Overwrite the existing firmware image with the downloaded firmware image from step 1:
# cp (image_name) /usr/lib/dg/dgdm/tiggerf.bin

4. The driver needs to be stopped and restarted (or the system rebooted) for the change to take effect.

To stop the driver:
/etc/init.d/dgdm stop (alternate:  /etc/rc.d/init.d/dgdm stop)

To re-start the driver with the new firmware:
# /etc/init.d/dgdm start (alternate  /etc/rc.d/init.d/dgdm start)
