How to improve photo quality for ID badge applications using Watchport USB cameras?

I am using a Watchport camera for an ID badge application and the printed photos of employees faces are grainy/pixelated. What can I do to improve the quality of the photos printed on the badges?

Most likely, the Watchport camera is too far away from the subject you are taking a snapshot of.

This "long distance" scenario ultimately results the subject's face, which is a small portion of the whole snapshot, being cropped and then increased in size. A resolution increase like this causes pixellation.

In this scenario, it is recommended to move the camera closer to the subject, if possible, so that the initial snapshot contains more of the subject's face.. If it is not feasible to move the camera closer to the subject, use a Watchport 8 mm closeup or 12 mm zoom telephoto lens.
