How to configure Windows Firewall to allow an AnywhereUSB to connect to a host computer

1. Add the AnywhereUSB Configuration Utility as an "Exception".

For AnywhereUSB drivers v3.60 and older, the path to this file is "\WINDOWS\system32\AwUsbCfg.exe" (or AwUsbCfg64.exe for 64-bit OS's).

For AnywhereUSB drivers v3.71 and newer, the path to this file is "\Program Files\Digi\AnywhereUSB\Awusbcfg.exe".

2. Add an Exception for port 3422 TCP.  Note that port 3422 UDP is specifically for AnywhereUSB Discovery in the AnywhereUSB Configuration Utility and should also be added, although it's not required for connectivity to the AnywhereUSB.
