Configure the port for binary (raw) mode. This can be done by telnetting to the unit and logging in as root. Here is an example for port one:
#> set port range=1 bin=on
#> kill tty=1
Then use the raw 2100 socket instead of the 2000 telnet socket (2101 through 2116 on a sixteen port unit) to connect.
