Working SIM shows status of "absent"

Plugged in working Verizon SIM in SIM 1-1 to this registered device (ser #WR64-000339). SIM was pretested in another router and provides Internet access.

In WR64-000339, the SIM status is “absent” as shown below. Are there any configuration settings you can recommend to activate this SIM?

I suggest "migrating" this device (its Operating System) from xOS to DAL, to see if that helps.
