How is NPORT's Port In Use state detected?

Is is supported topology scenario when one Moxa 5610-16 serial port is shared between multiple personal computers? On each of computers is an individual instance of NPORT driver running.

In another words. How long is kept "PortInUse"state after communication from eth to serial port?

I guess only one physical RS232 could be mapped to NPORT. Is it a relation 1:1 or many:1 ?

What is your opinion please? Thanks in advance

Are you using a Digi product?

I am not familiar with NPORT or Moxa products.
